The food we serve
At Norse Commercial Services we believe passionately in providing high quality food using quality raw ingredients, working with suppliers we know and trust and ensuring consistent preparation standards.
Choice, quality, convenience and value are key to meeting our many and varied customers' expectations; all will have a view on what a food service to them should be. To that end, NCS will provide menus offering a select range of quality products that will offer something for all, be their preference gourmet style, traditional fare, fast food, calorie counters or "grazers" - our flexible range of services cater for all taste, budgets and ages.
It is with all these factors in mind, we compile our recipes and menus and our commitment to local produce and freshly prepared, homemade dishes is reflected in the food range and methods of production.
With the exception of a very few products, the majority of menu items, snacks and salads are freshly made from raw materials. This rule also applies to our wide selection of home-made pastries, biscuits and cakes.
Where possible, fresh vegetables and salads in season are used and as far as practicable are locally sourced. As part of the 'healthy eating' effort, our recipes and methods of cooking are constantly being revised and improved to reflect national recommendations to consume less fat and sugar and eat more fruit and vegetables. The advantage of freshly made goods and dishes in our kitchen means that we can tailor recipes and menus to individual customers' requirements, and dietary needs.
-
Our poultry and pork comes from the UK, and is wherever possible Norfolk or Suffolk from approved suppliers who must have a fully integrated supply chain to ensure full control over all aspects of our poultry and pork, including feed and animal welfare, and is traceable to the farms on which the animals were raised.
- Our vegetables are a mixture of fresh and frozen. Fresh vegetables are sourced from East Anglia wherever possible. Our salad ingredients are sourced locally when in season and at other times from EU countries as they are available.
